Walking Your Dog Raises Money for Rescue

There are two main apps available that will benefit your charity of choice every time you walk... hopefully with your dog. Tampa Pets is registered with both apps. ResQwalk pays for up to 30 miles of activity a day, including bike riding under 14 miles an hour. We have found ResQwalk to be far more transparent in how much money they are distributing to charity and how and when they make the distribution. On the other hand, Wooftrax will sync with newer iphones to track non-GPS activity like treadmills. This feature isn't available for Android phones though. It's a free and eaasy way to attract donations through normal activity.

ResQwalk ResQwalk is a FREE mobile app that enables you to raise money and resources for animal welfare organizations, simply by walking. Each month they announce a ResQpool of cash and other resources that have been provided by corporate sponsors. In order to earn part of the pool for your favorite animal welfare organization, all you have to do is download the ResQwalk app, select a ResQpartner and press start. They also mix it up with weekly promotions that enable you to earn additional resources for animals in-need (e.g. food, toys, treats).

WoofTrax' Walk for a Dog (Android and iOS) app lets you raise money for your favorite pet charity while you walk your dog. All you have to do is pick the charity of your choice, sign up for an account, and start walking. The app is funded by ads and sponsors, and the longer you walk, the more money you'll raise for your charity. They also offer lots of fun promotions to increase the amount you can give.
